This was a construction project than Benjamin William Construction undertook in 2016. While there was an existing house at 252 Pearl St., the lot was large enough to accommodate an additional building — provided that we outfit the building with a sprinkler system.

We build a brand new 2174 ft^2, 4-bedroom / 3.5 bathroom contemporary in back of the existing house, which became 252B Pearl St. This gorgeous home features floor-to-ceiling Anderson A-Series windows, whitewashed 3” oak flooring, and a custom floating steel staircase. The kitchen features beautiful modern cabinetry, Thermidor appliances, and a Bosch ultra-quiet dishwasher. A gas fireplace provides a cozy, inviting atmosphere in the living room.

For exterior siding, we chose Hardie maintenance-free clapboards and panels. The property includes a 2-car cobblestone driveway and private green space.

A Navian combo boiler / on-demand water heater supplies radiant heat to the basement floor — and feeds Trane air handlers for heating the upper levels. The Trane units also provide air conditioning to all floors.
